Implants
Like dentures and bridges, implants are used to replace missing teeth. A surgical procedure is done to integrate a titanium screw into the jaw bone which is used as an anchor for a crown (cap). Implants have come to be the standard of care for replacing missing teeth because unlike partial dentures and bridges, they cannot be removed, do not effect the adjacent teeth, and can be cleaned and maintained like a natural tooth.
At Beffa Dental, we do not perform the surgical placement procedure. For that we refer you to an implant placing specialist. After 4-6 months of healing time, you will return to our office to have the crown fixed to the titanium screw that was placed during the surgery.
