Flossing 101

Here is a very concise video explaining the proper way to floss your teeth. Many people think that flossing is only to get the food out from in between your teeth, when actually flossing should be done every day on every tooth to help protect your teeth and gums. Flossing cleans between each tooth and below the gum line, where brushing can’t reach. Flossing helps eliminate bacteria and plaque build-up that causes gingivitis and gum disease. If your gums bleed when you floss, it is a good sign that you have gingivitis and your teeth need to be brushed and flossed more.

Brushing, flossing, and the use of Stim-u-dents, should all be used daily to help keep your teeth and gums healthy and happy.
